Suspect arrested in “Mars” investigation

GREAT BAY—The police have arrested a suspect in the ongoing “Mars” investigation. On Wednesday, a man with initials M.A.W. was arrested as a suspect in this case. Police had asked the public to help identify a green old model Dodge Caravan which was the subject of the investigation and which was located and confiscated for further investigation. The suspect remains in restricted custody for questioning in this investigation, police said.
The Mars investigation involves two men namely Luis David Sarante-Diaz also known as “Blanco” and Erwin Rosario Contreras also known as “Eggy” who went missing on Monday December 5th 2016, after they entered a hotel room at the Simpson bay Resort and Marina.
On Wednesday July 12th 2017, a press release was issued by the police department in the local newspapers and on Social Media, in search for a green old model Dodge Caravan. This vehicle was last seen on the premises of the Simpson Bay Resort and Marina on the same date the two men went missing and was most probably used in the disappearance of both men.
The police are informing anyone with additional information pertaining to the investigation of these missing men to contact the Criminal Intelligence Department # 9300, the police hotline 911, or email tips@policesxm.sx .
