The Saturday Morning Art Class celebrates five years

GREAT BAY—Under the theme “Passion,” art teacher Henry Thomas celebrated the 5th anniversary of The Saturday Morning Art Class with an art exhibition at Antoine Restaurant. The exhibition started on Friday at 7pm and will continue until the end of the month. Featured artists include students of the art class: Armani France, Aziza Vanterpool, Ping Ling Cen, Shanine Lee, Athlea Barry, Li Yuan Zhang and Lydia Arnell. They will have their pieces on display showcasing their talents and how much they’ve grown in their skill.
Located at the St. Maarten Academy Academic, Henry Thomas holds an art class every Saturday morning from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, exposing interested persons, both young and old, to different art styles, perspective concepts, principle of balance, and more. Whether they are on a beginner or advanced level, the class is opened to all. At the end of the year, an art exhibition is held in order to teach the students how to have their own exhibition and build their confidence. In addition, the art pieces be available for purchase throughout the month at Antoine’s.
