Attendees at the Leadercast mingling during the conference.
CAY HILL–“Awesome” and “inspiring” are a few of the words attendees at the recently-held Leadercast seminar used to describe their experience. Leadercast, the largest one-day global leadership conference, hosted locally by Victorious Living Foundation (VLF) via live simulcast for the fifth consecutive year, attracted more than 165 registrants.
The theme for Leadercast 2017 was “Powered by Purpose.” Attendees of all walks of life, ages and ethnic backgrounds gathered at the Belair Community Centre to be empowered, enlightened and inspired. Participants included Asha Stevens Hillside Christian School sixth-grade students, youth of several Methodist congregations who were encouraged to attend by their Superintendent Minister, Rev. Joan Delsol Meade, and the St. Maarten Youth Parliament.
Businesses continue to see the value of Leadercast increasing their employees’ leadership capacity and were strongly represented; including NAGICO Insurances, Motorworld, TelEm headed by its recently appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kendall Dupersoy and many others. Participants also hailed from organisations such as the Joint Court of Justice, The David Company’s CEO Alicia Liverpool, who was a speaker at Leadercast, and the Governor de Graaf Primary School board and staff, who travelled from St. Eustatius for the conference.
Youngsters were present during the conference.
Attendees were wowed by international speakers such as world-renowned director, playwright, producer and philanthropist Tyler Perry, who did not disappoint; author, leadership expert and clinical psychologist Henry Cloud; leadership expert and best-selling author Suzy Welch; sports agent, author, and world-renowned public speaker Molly Fletcher; leadership author and communicator Andy Stanley; and many more renowned international speakers.
Two local millennials also spoke at Leadercast: 21-year-old local author, speaker and entrepreneur Ralph Cantave and 19-year-old Dwayne Griffith, who is studying Social Entrepreneurship at Watson University. Both young men have attended Leadercast at VLF’s host site for two to three years and shared how Leadercast has impacted their lives.
Erna Mae Francis-Cotton and the VLF team are pleased with the results of Leadercast, which impacted and transformed many lives. She is grateful to VLF’s Leadercast partners, including Leadercast in Atlanta; St. Maarten’s Princess Juliana International Airport SXM; Caribserve, which provided feed for the live simulcast; Auto Bev Services; the media houses, including 102.7 FM, SOS Radio, and many more.
Francis-Cotton said she is eternally grateful to her husband Roy Cotton Jr. and the VLF team who worked tirelessly to ensure Leadercast’s success.
Leadercast 2018 is scheduled for May 4, 2018, with the theme: “Lead Yourself.”
Also, save the date for VLF’s Leader Worth Following Awards (LWFA) and Symposium on visionary leadership scheduled for November 4 this year. Keynote speaker for LWFA is former Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations, consultant, lawyer, author, speaker and contributor to the Huffington Post Liz Thompson.
