AIRPORT--The Police Alpha Team at Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIA) arrested B.R.G.J. and E.M.C.R., who arrived on the Air Antilles flight from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, at 4:35pm Wednesday last week. Both passengers were nationals of the Dominican Republic.

B.R.G.J.’s French passport was controlled by Immigration, who discovered the front-page information was printed. E.M.C.R.’s Spain passport was also controlled by Immigration, who also discovered the front page of his passport was printed. Both men were arrested for traveling with falsified passports.

During their arrest, both men had in possession, passports of the Dominican Republic. While controlling those passports, it was also discovered that they contained false visas from the Netherlands. Both suspects were transported to the police station in Philipsburg and the false documents confiscated for further investigation.

A man J.D.A. was refused entry to the island by Immigration at PJIA on Wednesday evening. While inspecting his passport from the Dominican Republic, suspicions arose that the Spanish (Spain) stamps on his passport were false. J.D.A. handed an ID card from Spain to officers, but it appeared to be false. He was detained and taken to the police station where he awaits his return to the Dominican Republic.

The suspect was arrested on Thursday morning for travelling with falsified documents and for presenting these falsified documents to authorities. Both his Dominican Republic passport and falsified ID card from Spain were confiscated for further investigation.
