500 educators attend C-TEC conference

SOUTH REWARD–More than 500 educators attended the first day of the two-day Caribbean Technology and Education Conference (C-TEC) at Milton Peters College (MPC) on Thursday.

The goal of the conference is to bring together educators working for school boards, educational foundations and ministries of education in the region to focus on the use of Information Communication Technology (ICT), technology and 21st century learning.

The conference is organised by Foresee Foundation (4C-Foundation) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. The idea is to create a platform that bring together educators region-wide to talk, learn and create ideas on bringing 21st century learning into more classrooms.

At the conference participants get a chance to choose from amongst dozens of workshops given by local and international presenters. Topics range from digital storytelling in the classroom and creating videos with Animoto to integrating technology with journal writing, amongst others.

C-TEC said its members and affiliates look forward to the second day of the conference today.
