Agri-cultural market on St. Peters streets

Local produce on display and on sale at Sunday’s Market Day and Music Festival in St. Peters.



ST. PETERS–The streets of St. Peters were transformed into an open-air produce market and agri-cultural manifestation Sunday, organised by the St. Peters Community Garden Research and Development Centre, which operates a community garden in the area.

Rupert Maynard Community Centre and its immediate vicinity was the epicentre for healthy lifestyle and food enthusiasts. The Market Day and Music Festival included a number of activities and entertainment for all ages throughout the day and brought awareness about health and agriculture through demonstrations and lectures.

  There were a number of food vendors and demonstrations of a backyard garden, an aquaponics system and a detoxing station.

  Various speakers gave lectures about different topics such as agricultural awareness, waste management and herbal health awareness.
