Pet food was unloaded from the vessel “Tres Hombres” on Wednesday morning at the Galis Bay pier. About three to four tonnes of animal food and other supplies were brought ashore according to the cargo manifest.
The Caribbean Sail Training (CST) member vessel was again hosted for free by Port Director Albéric Ellis and his staff at the port of Galis Bay. The hurricane relief goods were bound for the Dutch side. According to CST it was easier to bring the engineless vessel into the Galis Bay pier rather than bring her into the Philipsburg harbour among cruise and cargo vessels. Zakki from Marina Fort Louis provided their tender to help with the towing. “Tres Hombres” is now on her way to Martinique. (CST photo)
