PHILIPSBURG–Enthusiastic students from all over St. Maarten showed up for Art Saves Lives’ placement screening for the organisation’s Summer Intensive on June 23.

The screening event was held at the Philipsburg Cultural and Community Center and was hosted by celebrity choreographer and Art Saves Lives’ teaching artiste Luam Keflezgy.

Registration for Art Saves Lives is still open at

www.eventbrite.com , but due to space limitations registration will close soon. Everyone interested in attending Art Saves Lives’ Summer Intensive must register online.

The organisation is also currently raising funds for their sixth Summer Intensive. In light of what the island has endured and overcome Art Saves Lives is offering the programme free of charge for the first 100 students who register. Several award students will be approaching persons and businesses this week for donations to provide free scholarships. They are encouraged to support St. Maarten’s youth in this initiative to cover the cost of registration. For more information contact
