PHILIPSBURG–Chuchubi Foundation is holding its annual celebrations for Aruba Day, which is Sunday, March 18. This year’s edition will be on a lower scale due to the severe impact of Hurricane Irma.
The day itself will begin with a church service, followed by the annual award ceremony and Aruba Style Shindig at Bute Hotel. Entrance is free, but drinks and snacks will be on sale, and folks can dance the evening away with the band 911 and DJ EZ Rick.
Today, Friday there is a pre-Aruba Day event on Boardwalk Boulevard hosted by Caribbean Blend. Chuchubi members and friends will have “Meet & Greet” party from 8:00pm to 2:00am.
On Sunday the church service at St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church, Front Street starts at 8:30am.
The annual award ceremony will take place at Bute Hotel on A.Th. Illidge Road from 5:00 to 6:00pm. From 6:00pm to midnight, there will be an Aruban Style Shindig at Bute Hotel, with musical entertainment by 911 band and DJ EZ Rick.
The foundation is calling on all Arubans, friends of Aruba and the public together to celebrate Aruba Day 2018.
