Art Saves Lives (ASL) Foundation presented Saturday evening “Continent Drift” – a showcase of student talents honed at a week-long series of workshops. Some of the students were on stage for the first time; same for the exposure to art forms such as tap dancing. This was the fifth showcase of ASL and has each year brought in various professionals to teach the five-hour intense workshops. The best students from the workshops were selected to visit New York for further exposure to the arts in October. ASL is run by St. Maarteners Nicole de Weever, an acclaimed Broadway dancer, and Hadiya Sri Sutton, a social worker.
