MARIGOT–Jonathan “Jon Jon” Marks, a very promising young student at the Paul Emmanuel School of Music in La Savane, has received a year’s worth of drum lessons donated by the newly-formed association Le Moringa.
Marks (7) caught the attention of the public after performing an impressive drum solo in front of a large crowd during a concert at Fish Day. He is always recognizable by his cap and red bow tie.
“I want to thank Jonathan’s parents and Paul Emmanuel for the work they are doing with the youth,” said association President Alain Rioual. “To develop a strong and attractive St. Martin identity it is essential to accompany our young talent all the way as they are the ones who will make our island shine in the future.
“Congratulations Jonathan…keep working hard and I’m sure you will join the biggest names on the international music scene. Association Le Moringa is proud to contribute to the development of the cultural and artistic heritage of St. Martin.”
