It was a scene missing for more than a year: passengers filling the terminal of Princess Juliana International Airport and greeters waiting outside for arriving passengers.

A section of the terminal building reopened last week after extensive repairs to fix the severe damage caused by Hurricanes Irma and Maria in September 2017. The reopening was long awaited by residents, visitors and airlines. The airport operations were carried out under two large tents for about a year before operations resumed in the terminal. 1. Not sure they are really ready for more planes… I passed through yesterday and it was a mess getting bags with 3 planes in at once. Real bottle neck.
