ST. EUSTATIUS-- Bethel Methodist School welcomed pupils back for the 2026-2027 school year with a lively spirit tunnel, giving students an enthusiastic and memorable start to the new academic year.
The activity brought together pupils, parents, school board members and staff in an atmosphere of joy, inspiration and motivation as the school community prepared for the year ahead.
The school said it is ready to take on the 2026-2027 school year with enthusiasm and a commitment to shaping young minds and preparing pupils to build lives in service to others.
The spirit tunnel also gave pupils an opportunity to meet new classmates and reconnect with friends as they returned to school following the summer break.

Following the activity, a service was held at Bethel Chapel. The programme included speeches and presentations by School Principal Jarmila Wilson-Berkel, Commissioner of Education Reuben Merkman and others.
The speakers welcomed the pupils back and encouraged them to work hard, give their best and make the most of the opportunities the new school year has to offer.
The school community was also encouraged to approach the academic year with enthusiasm while enjoying the experiences and activities that come with being part of the Bethel Methodist School community.
