Eight booth-holders have signed up for the programme at Festival Village and are actively serving breakfast and lunch on a daily basis. More tenants are busy signing up and will be serving breakfast and lunch in the coming weeks as the programme progresses. A group of some 50 senior citizens can be seen playing games and enjoying lunch at the Festival Village on Friday. Entertainment and steel pan classes are already being provided by Dow’s Musical Foundation for locals and cruise ship passengers visiting Festival Village on a daily basis, highlighting the cultural heritage of St. Maarten. Scheduled events and programmes are being planned and will be forthcoming in the coming weeks. Interested parties who would like to rent a booth in Festival Village can visit SOG’s office in Festival Village during working hours and register. The price to obtain a single booth is only US $650, which includes electricity and water.
