The Foundation extended its appreciation to everyone who participated. A Foundation representative said, “Everyone’s participation, support, and enthusiasm helped make this event meaningful and memorable. Together, we continue to spread awareness, encourage early detection, celebrate survivors, honour those we have lost, and stand in solidarity with everyone affected by breast cancer. We are truly grateful to each and every one of you for being a part of this important cause. Your support reminds us that, together, we are stronger in the fight against breast cancer.”
On Thursday, October 15th, the Foundation, together with the Statia Government Public Health Prevention Clinic, will host a presentation with cardiologist Dr. Emiko Bird-Lake from the St. Maarten Medical Centre. The theme of the evening will be cancer and heart failure. The event will take place at the Gertrude Judson Bicentennial Public Library from 7:30pm to 9:00pm, and residents of the island are invited to attend. On Saturday, October 17th, a pink hike will be held on the island, where attendees can take part in a healthy activity. The event will launch at the historic core site, which is anticipated to start at the Quill.
