A garbage collector was hit by a Hyundai Getz on L.B. Scott Road near Emilio Wilson Estate at approximately 10:00pm Sunday.
There was no official word from police on what transpired, but The Daily Herald understands that the Getz slammed into the rear of the garbage truck, seriously injuring one of the two garbage collectors. Paramedics took the man to St. Maarten Medical Center while police were at the scene taking statements from drivers who witnessed the accident.
