COLE BAY--Eleven swimmers, representing Carib Swim Team, competed in the 13th annual St. John Beach to Beach Power Swim on Sunday. 

The race, featuring more than 350 athletes, consisted of three different race distances.  There was a 1 mile swim, a 2.25 mile swim, and a 3.5 mile swim.  The course represented several navigational challenges for swimmers, as they swam from beach to beach.
  Carib Swim Team members had great success in racing, receiving recognition in nearly every distance and age group:   Short Solo, Female, 16 and under – Chloe Boecasse (3); Juliette Pocovi (4).  Short Solo, Female, 35 to 49 – Evelyn Munoz (2).  Short Solo, Male, 16 and under – Ben Pocovi (1); Maxime Billot (3); Matias Piazza (4); Sacha Gibbs (5); Yann Billot (8).  Long Solo, Female, 16 and under – Freya Knaggs (1).  Long Solo, Female, 17 to 34 – Megan Pittman (2).  Long Solo, Male, Overall – Erik Spit (2) and first in the 17 to 34 age group.  
  Next year’s Beach to Beach Power Swim will take place in St.  John, US Virgin Islands, on Sunday, May 28, 2017.
