Carnival season and school time for children continue to be a bad mix. As the Carnival season continues, fewer children are attending school. Most classrooms at St. Maarten Academy PSVE were half empty and it was evident that students had started their Carnival season earlier. The last day of school is today, Friday, on the Dutch side, while French-side students resume school on Monday coming. In photo: A classroom with one student at Academy PSVE.
