The Le Grand Marché Group officially opened its Carrefour Market in the renovated former Le Grand Marché building in Cole Bay on Friday evening in what was called a major investment and show of confidence in the economy. A large number of guests attended the opening reception held in the parking lot of the establishment, before having a chance to tour the interior of the spacious supermarket facilities, led by company executives Danny Ramchandani and Anil Sabnani. The Carrefour Market spans 30,000 square feet and boasts of more than 50,000 product references adapted to the multicultural richness of Dutch St. Maarten and French St. Martin.
