Catherine Christopher displays her $39,000 cheque after recently winning the Caribbean Lottery’s Lucky Pick game.
PHILIPSBURG–“Draw night” for Caribbean Lottery games is a special occasion for Catherine Christopher and her father, because that is when she visits him to watch the draw of winning numbers and select their numbers for the next game.
In a recent Lucky Pick game, her dad gave her some numbers to purchase, but she said to him “Daddy, I just want to try a Quick Pick.” She did so and is the Lucky Pick Jackpot Winner of $39,000.
When Christopher collected her cheque at the Caribbean Lottery office in St. Maarten, she explained that she was on vacation when she saw that her numbers 4-15-18-19-21 played. She said: “I screamed and jumped for joy and could not wait for my vacation to be over so that I could return home and receive my prize.”
Although she would have liked to have won before taking out a car loan three years ago, she is devoted to her family and will assist her siblings with renovations to their homes. Christopher is not done yet and stated: “I am keeping my eyes on the prize, next win will be the Super Lotto.”
Caribbean Lottery Site Operations Manager Paula Williams expressed her best wishes for Christopher and added: “We at the Caribbean Lottery wish Ms. Christopher continued success and is happy that her family will also benefit from her win.”
The Lucky Pick Jackpot winner has some advice to players out there: “Never give up. Always try to mix and match your number; but don’t ever give up.”
Christopher is one of two lucky Caribbean Lottery winners in the space of a week with the other being a Pick 4 winner, Robert Samudio.
