ST. EUSTATIUS–Lady of Culture Marcella Gibbs-Marsdin will be hosting her annual Red and White Parade today, Monday.

The Parade will start at the Buzzy Bee Inn and day care centre in the Princess starting at 3:00pm and ending at Mike van Putten Youth Centre/Lion’s Den.

The St. Eustatius Lion’s Club will also be holding its second annual Christmas Village today. All booths will be decorated with Christmas lights and trimmings. Traditional Christmas food, snacks and drinks will be on sale.

The Christmas Village at the Lion’s Den will be open December 17-23, 7:00pm to 12:00pm. The theme for the week will be, “Let’s Bring Back the Christmas Family Spirit.”

On Wednesday, December 19, local radio station 92.3FM will be holding a Christmas Table during which persons will have the chance to call in and say what is on the table for Christmas at the radio station. If persons guess correctly they can win a prize. Lady of Culture Gibbs will be hosting the programme from 10:00am until 12:00pm.

On Thursday Santa Claus will be passing through the streets giving out his sweets.

Royalty Organization EUX fundraising Jingle Run and Fun Day for Asha and Kids Track and Field after-school programme was postponed until December 23, 9:30am-5:00pm. The event, which will be taking place at NuStar playground, will also feature a race event and relay competition. There will be games and prizes for participating children and food and snacks will be on sale.

Operation Santa Claus has been delayed until Wednesday, December 26, due to the gifts arriving late from Miami, Florida. Children will be able to receive gifts from Santa Claus at the Lion’s Den, starting at 4:00pm.
