  1. EUSTATIUS–Rain failed to dampen the spirits of participants in Dare to Care Foundation’s Children’s Christmas Party Train held on Monday. The party train began at F.D. Roosevelt Airport and ended at the Nustar playground.

Some revellers were dressed in festive wear. Children’s cartoon characters also participated. Rain played a prominent role in the festivities, but did not deter participants from going out to the event. As the parade snaked its way through the streets, it began raining. Participants ran for cover as they approached the area near Queen Beatrix Medical Centre. A multitude of events such as fun games, bouncing castle, candies, prizes and giveaways were planned at the Nustar playground.

The party train targeted children ages one to 12 years. Marlon “DJ Runn Things” Hook provided music during the event. Members of the Caribbean Netherlands Police Corps St. Eustatius escorted parade participants.
