The local government has been promoting healthy eating and eating local homegrown foods, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The market will have Christmastime staple sorrel, Dutch food products, island gift honey, an early crop of Statia tomatoes and many more food items that will enhance the seasonal tables on the “Historical Gem”.

Adjacent to the market is Made in Statia. Gardeners there are also setting up their stalls with homegrown eggplant, gourd, long beans, okra and vital leafy greens such as arugula, kale and bok choy.
