CN Express directly connects Statia and Saba with Bonaire

SABA/ST. EUSTATIUS–The Ministry of Home Affairs and Kingdom Relations, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management and Dutch Government Service Caribbean Netherlands RCN are to contribute to a temporary air connection between Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba, which will be made possible by Windward Islands Airways International Winair.

The air connection starts at the beginning of January 2018 and is called CN Express. This domestic flight will connect the three islands of the Caribbean Netherlands directly with each other.
After Hurricanes Irma and Maria, the important international hub of Princess Juliana International Airport on St. Maarten could not be used for quite some time. As a result, an urgent need arose on Saba and Statia for an extra access point to be used for work traffic, the tourist sector and medical referrals.
It is expected that by this new air connection, an impulse will be given to the tourist sectors of both islands and will also give a stimulus to the local economies of Saba and Statia.
This direct connection is also of importance to RCN and the Ministries working on the islands, also from the point of view of cost control.
The aim is to fly from Bonaire to Statia and vice versa in a frequency of four times a week. These flights will directly connect to Saba from St. Eustatius. For flight schedules and fares, one may visit Winair’s website at
