Canadian construction company Precision Concrete Services Inc. members are in St. Maarten and donated a concrete slab to Apostolic Faith Ministry Church in its efforts to rebuild after Hurricane Irma last year. Precision Concrete chose to work in St. Maarten as it has found synergies between the two countries. Company representatives Ziyad Chediac said on Wednesday, “We know after the hurricane things became difficult down here and that is why we wanted to help. We seek to establish a finishing school in St. Maarten that will help in developing local talent, introduce newer technologies, and create administrative jobs for the local economy. I have three amazing daughters Sydney, Madison and Lauren and my role is in teaching them how to give and pay forward. The island mentality of working together is one that has made us successful, so we feel this new relationship will be a great match.”
