MARIGOT–Crew of cruise ship Sea Dream took the Maritime School of the West Indies (MSWI) firefighting course last week, continuing the cruise line’s attendance to MSWI crew courses or upgrade courses since 2006 during the ship’s regular visits to St. Maarten/St. Martin.

  The crew members were instructed in firefighting by teacher Marco London during a practical day of live firefighting with the school’s latest apparatus. 
  The cruise line Sea Dream Yacht Club is a family-owned company. Owner, chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) Atle Brynestad founded Seabourn Cruise Line in 1987 and was its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) during its initial years. He also served as Chairman of Cunard Line Ltd. and as a board member of Carnival Cruise Lines.
  Established in 2001, Sea Dream Yacht Club launched with twin mega-yachts Sea Dream I and Sea Dream II, and achieved the industry’s highest accolades. In 2019, Sea Dream announced the launch of Sea Dream Innovation, a state-of-the-art yacht which will sail all over the world starting in 2021.

  MSWI has been audited, inspected and approved by several cruise lines and is recognised worldwide as the course provider for International Yacht Training (IYT) and Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA).
  The next six-day regular official MCA-recognized Standards of Training, Certification and Watch-keeping (STCW) 2010 course for mega, superyacht and local St. Maarten boat crews is scheduled for Monday, December 9.

  The next Small Powerboat and RIB Master Level Two and VHF course starts Monday, December 16.
