PHILIPSBURG–Customer Service Mobile Academy (CSMA) has provided Charlotte Brookson Academy (CBA) of the Performance Arts with four scholarships to enable its fourth and fifth form students to attend CSMA’s Customer Service Week courses.
One CBA student has already attended the course and three additional students will attend courses this week.
CSMA’s first annual St. Maarten Customer Service Week, which began recently, drew participants from organisations in St. Maarten and surrounding islands such as Windward Islands Bank, GEBE, ICC Cargo, Satel NV in Saba, Summit Resort Hotel, St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Philipsburg Jubilee Library, St. Eustatius Housing Department and TelEm Group, amongst others.
CBA student Zoria Arrindell, who attended the course, said the experience made her day. “I learned a lot and now I have something special, a certificate that I can show everybody on how to manage customer expectations. I feel good.”
CSMA official Natasha Gittens said her team of curriculum developers is working on an accredited course, titled We R Tourism (WRT). The marketing campaign is scheduled to kick off in January 2018 with the main objective of encouraging students to embrace tourism and hospitality careers sooner in life versus later.
“Our philosophy is “build young future succession leaders now,” Gittens said.
