MARIGOT–Caisse Territoriale des Oeuvres Scolaires (CTOS) has spoken of a fruitful partnership where its Central Kitchen in Grand Case was able to come to the assistance of Dutch-side schools, in collaboration with St. Maarten Red Cross and the Government of St. Maarten.

From April 16, 2018 until the end of the school year on Friday, July 6, 2018, CTOS produced 3,000 extra meals each day to enable first and second grade pupils on the Dutch side to eat a hot lunch.

Thanks to this partnership, CTOS doubled its daily production, with 6,000 meals served in schools on the French side and schools on the Dutch side; a partnership that CTOS will be happy to renew at the next school year according to the needs of St. Maarten.

President of CTOS Maud Ascent-Gibs and her director Kenroy Bryan, would like to thank their partners in St. Maarten for the trust placed in them, as well as the staff of the Central Kitchen who have worked tirelessly since Hurricane Irma to serve schools and their students.
