D-Boat finds a new home in St. Maarten | THE DAILY HERALD

D-Boat promises to be a water park entertainment hot spot.

SIMPSON BAY–The island’s latest attraction received hundreds of interested St. Maarten party-goers at Portofino Marina near Dingy Dock on Sunday. Owners of the water entertainment centre hosted an opening party for the public to get a taste of their services.

D-Boat is a retired oil tanker turned into a water park and party boat for all ages. D-Boat will soon be permanently moored just off Simpson Bay Beach, opposite Kim Sha.

“The ship has been scraped and repainted until it’s a gleaming entertainment machine that can deliver thrills for the whole family. In addition to having an open bar, D-Boat is something of a floating water park, with slides, rope swings, trampolines, and options for an off-boat snorkel,” said Ehsan Almasi, one of the owners.

The attraction was established in Antigua, but the owners always wanted to establish the business in St. Maarten.

“It took us three years to get set up here in St. Maarten,” said Almasi. “It was a lot of back and forth and it has finally been realised. We hope that people come check out our establishment. Great food, fun in our water park and amazing day and night parties can be expected from D-Boat.”

This family-friendly experience includes round-trip ferry transport from Simpson Bay.

DJ Outkast entertained guests throughout the day on Sunday and patrons toured the old oil tanker and enjoyed snacks and drinks during the opening.

“We are moving to Simpson Bay after the hurricane season and will have our water park completed and ready to go by mid-November. The public is encouraged to come check out our boat and experience D-Boat,” said Almasi.

D-Boat can be contacted via telephone +1-721-523-2628 or via Facebook page D-Boat.
