MARIGOT–Events to remember, pay tribute to and celebrate the life of universally-loved and admired late historian Daniella Jeffry take place, Saturday and Sunday, November 9 and 10.
A thanksgiving service will take place in Risen Christ Catholic Church, South Reward, at 10:00am Saturday. Tributes between 9:30 and 10:00am.
A Cultural Jollification celebrating her life takes place in the Bellevue Gardens from 1:00 to 4:00pm Sunday, November 10. The programme will include music, cultural performances, and speeches. Casual chic attire is requested.
Among those paying tribute at Sunday’s event will be Aline Choisy, Ife Badejo, Donovan Froston, Ruby Bute, Gunslingers, Brat and Timo, Clara Reyes and the Community Choir, Dow Steelband, and many more. Pastor Eugene Hodge will give the opening prayer.
Jeffry passed away on October 9 and was cremated in Washington D.C. She was a teacher, historian, author, translator, politician and political and cultural activist.
