De Kort appointed judge for civil cases

PHILIPSBURG–Judge Mauritsz de Kort has been appointed the country’s judge for civil affairs on the departure of the deputy judge for those cases.

De Kort’s six-year appointment was published in the November 13 National Gazette with retroactive effect to September 1.

The national decree issued by Governor Eugene Holiday was on the recommendation of Justice Minister Dennis Richardson.
