De Reuver was appointed per December 1 as Director of Kingdom Relations/Countries. She is the second director as Dirk-Jan Bonnet was already Director of Kingdom Relations/Caribbean Netherlands.

The directorship of Kingdom Relations is now divided by country, referring to Aruba, Curaçao and St. Maarten, and the Caribbean Netherlands, which consists of Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba.

This means that now, St. Maarten will mostly have to do with De Reuver, but she is no stranger to St. Maarten as she has been working as programme manager for St. Maarten Reconstruction since October 2019.

Prior to that, De Reuver worked at the Judicial Institutions Department of the Ministry of Justice and Security as a member of the management team for the prison system and foreigners’ detention. She has a double university degree – she studied both Japanese language and culture, and law, at Leiden University.
