Port of St. Maarten Chief Executive Officer Mark Mingo’s pre-trial detention has been extended for another eight days. Mingo appeared in front of a judge in the Court of First Instance on Thursday on the request of the Prosecutor. The Prosecutor requested that the detention be extended because the case is still being investigated. Mingo was arrested at Princess Juliana International Airport SXM on June 7 in connection with the “Emerald” investigation which was launched in April 2016.
