Dominican Republic Independence Day

The annual Dominican Republic Independence Day festivities came to an end on Sunday evening after a colourful parade through the streets. “Semana Dominicana” is celebrating its 16th year on the island and 172 anniversary of the Independence of the Dominican Republic from Haiti. Hundreds of persons dressed the music trailer with Dominicano flag colours and the parade included, music, dance, traditional outfits, T-shirts, costumes etc. Vehicles bearing the Dominicano flag were evident on the street on Sunday.
