Confiscated cannabis, money, and other items seized by Gendarmes.
MARIGOT–A 42-year-old St. Martiner will appear in the Marigot court for a hearing today to be charged for repeat offences of drug peddling, of notably cannabis herb, the Prosecutor’s Office disclosed.
The accused had already been condemned three times for identical offences and resumed his activities a few months after his previous sentence ended in June 2017. He has been selling cannabis of various qualities daily to a very large number of customers, the Prosecutor added in his release.
The search at the suspect’s home resulted in the discovery of 1.2 kilos of cannabis herb and more than 2,000 euros and dollars accumulated from his illicit activities. Various assets, including a Kia car and a scooter, were seized during the investigation.
He was placed under a committal order (mandat de dépôt) by the judge of Liberty and Detention and was detained in the premises of Police aux Frontières (PAF) pending his hearing today.
