Dutch Caribbean talks   | THE DAILY HERALD

 

Delegations from the Parliaments of Curaçao, Aruba and St. Maarten held tripartite discussions here on Monday.

The meeting’s goal was to prepare for the Inter-Parliamentary Kingdom Consultation IPKO which starts today, and topics of mutual interest include the constitutional court, dispute settlement relations within the kingdom, the situation in Venezuela, collaboration of St. Maarten’s Immigration Service with the Royal Dutch Marechaussee and immigration in general, and collaboration in education, specifically the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC). The IPKO started today at 10:00am with welcome addresses by delegation leaders being broadcast via Pearl FM, www.sxmparliament.org and Facebook.com/Parliament of Sint Maarten.
