FCDSM President Luciana Raspail and Euphoria President Jacqueline Jno-Baptiste sign the partnership agreement.
MARIGOT–Festivités Carnavalesque de St. Martin (FCDSM) President Luciana Raspail and Euphoria’s President Jacqueline Jno-Baptiste have signed a partnership agreement to organise the 2019 Miss Carnival Queen Pageant.
This is the second partnership for both entities after hosting two successful pageants in 2017.
After the passing of Hurricane Irma, the carnival committee cancelled all pageants for Carnival 2018, as it would have not been possible to mobilise the business community and contestants to seek funding for the pageants.
President Luciana Raspail is happy to announce that two pageants will be held for Carnival 2019; Miss Junior Carnival Queen Pageant and Miss Carnival Queen Pageant. Raspail explained that the board decided to host only two pageants this year as opposed to past years due to budget constraints.
Euphoria and FCDSM are finalising plans to present the eight contestants who are registered to take part in the Miss Carnival 2019. The contestants will be disclosed on FCDSM and Euphoria’s Facebook early December.
The Miss Carnival 2019 Queen Pageant is set to be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019. Tickets will be on sale as of December.
FCDSM and Euphoria hereby encourage the business community to support the contestants as they prepare for the pageant. President Raspail kindly reminds the public that Carnival 2019 will be held from February 17 to March 6, 2019, and that registrations are still open for Miss Junior Carnival Queen Pageant, Individual Costume Competition, and Carnival Troupes and Booths.
