A large number of persons attended the St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (COCI’s) sixth annual “Christmas in Philipsburg” street fair on Cannegieter Street from Windward Islands Bank all the way to the COCI office on Saturday, December 22.
The road was blocked off and a number of vendors had booths selling all sorts of Christmas treats and other items. There were a number of activities and fun sightings, including Santa Claus on roller blades greeting adults and children along the route. COCI Executive Director Anastacio Baker said during the event that this year was the biggest fair to date in terms of booth-holders as well as visitors. In photos: Scenes at the fair.
