MARIGOT–The Collectivité in cooperation with the French State has launched a field study to determine the situation with damaged buildings in St. Martin.
In the protocol signed in November 2017 the Collectivité of St. Martin and the State planned to establish a precise diagnosis of the territory, equipment, buildings and situation of the people to assess the consequences of Hurricane Irma.
In this context, the Madin Consulting firm has been mandated by the State to carry out a detailed study of the damaged buildings in St. Martin. From April 16 to May 21, eight experts will visit the districts located in priority areas to analyse the damage suffered by individual and collective housing.
The Collectivité and the State thanks the population in advance for welcoming the experts and facilitating their investigation. This work is intended to contribute effectively to the reconstruction of St. Martin by allowing the Collectivité to know precisely which buildings should be secured as a priority and to put in place a new urban planning strategy.
