WILLEMSTAD–The Council of Ministers and Governor of Curaçao has approved the appointment of Julian Lopez-Ramirez as Supervisory Board member at the Central Bank of Curaçao and St. Maarten (CBCS).
He passed the screening process conducted by Finance Minister Kenneth Gijsbertha, stated the related National Decree dated November 28. The seven-person board of the joint monetary authority and financial sector supervisor is now complete.
Its first order of business is finding new directors to succeed retired Alberto “Chos” Romero and Jerry Hasselmeyer as well as a replacement for dismissed president Emsley Tromp.
Recently, former Finance Minister Jose Jardim and Leila Matroos-Lasten were appointed temporary directors and the latter also as acting president.
