Fire at Curaçao Tax Office | THE DAILY HERALD

WILLEMSTAD –Curaçao’s Tax Department on Regentesselaan caught fire last night. Director Trona called the damage extensive.

He said the Receiver’s Office and public part with the service counters completely burned out.

However, the digital fiscal data is all is backed up, which should allow for a relatively smooth restart when the time comes.

The fire department arrived quickly, but the blaze still destroyed the right side of the building.

The complex obviously won’t open today, it was reported. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
