Sophora Lucard from Haïti, surrounded by nurses of the Maternity Ward, gave birth to a baby girl named Aliyah, the first baby to be born at Louis-Constant Fleming Hospital on New Year’s Day. The baby was born at 1:41pm and weighs 4 kilos, 150 grams. Aliyah is the mother’s fourth child. (Photo Robert Luckock).
