WEATHER:

Today: Generally cloudy to overcast and windy with scattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms.
Tonight through Tuesday morning: Partly cloudy to cloudy and breezy with isolated showers.

SURFACE WINDS:
Today through Tuesday morning: East to east southeast with a moderate to strong breeze of 16 to 26 miles per hour with higher gusts.

SYNOPSIS:
Moisture and instability associated with the remnants of Tropical Storm Beryl will account for cloudiness, showers and strong winds across the local area today. Isolated thunderstorms are also possible. A gradual improvement is expected from tonight. Some showers could be heavy causing localized flooding in low lying areas and roadways.
Strong winds continue to support rough seas. As a result, a small craft advisory will remain in effect until Tuesday morning. Small Craft operators and sea bathers should continue exercising caution.

STATE OF THE SEA: Moderate to Rough
WAVES/SWELLS: 6 to 9 feet

SPECIAL FEATURE:
At 11pm last night, remnants of Beryl was located near latitude 15.8 North, longitude 62.4 West or about 160 miles south-southeast of St. Maarten. The remnants continues to move toward the west-northwest at 26 mph. Maximum sustained winds were near 40 mph with higher gusts.
Weather associated with the remnants of Beryl will affect the local area today. Residents and visitors are urged to remain vigilant and keep informed. MDS will continue to monitor the remnants of Beryl and keep the public updated.

OUTLOOK through Wednesday morning: Partly cloudy and breezy with isolated showers.
