Formateur Theo Heyliger, APS Director Nadya van Putten and MP Tamara Leonard.
PHILIPSBURG–Representatives of General Pension Fund Administration APS met this past Tuesday with formateur Theodore Heyliger.
During the discussions Heyliger spoke of a number of local investments that play an important role in the socio-economic development of St. Maarten, APS said in a press release on Wednesday. Other matters discussed were ways in which the pension fund is already contributing to the country’s development, as well as the positive spinoff effects locally resulting from ongoing and future APS projects.
“APS, as St. Maarten’s general pension fund administrator, is considered one such institution that also needed to be consulted in the process of formulating a governing programme,” according to the press release.
Heyliger, who was accompanied by United People’s (UP) party Member of Parliament (MP) Tamara Leonard, spoke with members of the APS board, its director and two managers. Also present at the meeting was the APS board secretary.
