MARIGOT–The Collectivité informs the public that the former Gendarmerie building on Rue de la Liberté in Marigot will be demolished starting Tuesday, August 28.
Parking will be strictly forbidden on the street in the vicinity of this building from 8:00am to 3:00pm Tuesday to Thursday, August 28-30.
Parking is also forbidden around the intersection of Rue Félix Eboué and Rue de la Liberté up to the Banque Postale. Any vehicles found parked in these forbidden zones will be towed away with vehicle recovery at the owner’s expense. The Territorial Police are charged with enforcing these temporary regulations.
Other demolition projects are in progress or have been completed. They include demolishing the Hervé Williams School annex, demolition of Emile Larmonie School in French Cul-de-Sac and removal of the remains and foundations of the “carbets” on Orient Beach.
