Four parliament meetings today

PHILIPSBURG–Members of Parliament (MPs) will have a busy day today, Wednesday June 29, with four meetings scheduled, including one that is a closed door session.

The first meeting is a closed door session between Parliament’s Finance Committee and the Committee for Financial Supervision CFT at 9:30 today. Parties will discuss the financial situation of St Maarten.

The second meeting at 11:00am is a meeting of the Central Committee to discuss appointment of a second acting Secretary General of Parliament. 

The third meeting is at 2:00pm, when Parliament’s Permanent Committee of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Affairs (CECYSA), meet to discuss the Social Formation Programme with representatives of Curacao’s Ministry of Education from Curaçao.

The fourth meeting is the continuation of a meeting to discuss the Ministry of Justice and it’s relationship within the Kingdom. This meeting is scheduled to start at 3:00pm
