ST. EUSTATIUS–Francisca Gibbs has been appointed manager of the Personnel Affairs Unit by the Government Commissioners of the Public Entity of St. Eustatius.
Acting Island Secretary Malvern Dijkshoorn-Lopes confirmed that Gibbs was appointed as of July 1, 2018. “The Government is kindly requesting for everyone to grant Ms. Gibbs their full support. With this announcement I hope that everyone has been sufficiently informed,” Dijkshoorn-Lopes said.
Gibbs is the daughter of Gerta Hook-Woodley and Franklin Gibbs. She is also the niece of former Acting Island Governor Julian Woodley.
Gibbs was previously the executive assistant of then Commissioner Koos Sneek. She was then placed at the Personnel Affairs Unit where she has been working until present.
Gibbs was appointed policy advisor to the former Director of Personal Affairs Xavier Blackman, and now she takes the reigns as the manager of Personnel Affairs.
