MARIGOT–French-side Carnival committee (FCDSM) Junior Carnival Queen, Doranya Pascal will be taking part in the International Festival of Talent and Beauty from July 4 to 10, 2017 in the Dominican Republic.

This will be the very first time that French St. Martin will be represented in this festival, FCDSM disclosed in a release.

This event also encourages cultural exchanges between the participants.

“Doranya will be participating in the pre-teen category and will be selected according to the following segments: fantasy costume, talent, pink carpet run way fashion, swimwear, evening wear, and interview. Each segment will be judged on a different day with the final segment on July 8, 2017. The award ceremony is scheduled for July 9.”

The event will be judged by renowned designers from the USA and the winners will get the opportunity to travel to the USA to work with a model agency.

“Doranya has been preparing over the past two months for this event with her chaperone and is looking forward to the experience. With the support of First Vice-President of the Collectivité and President of the Tourism office, Valérie Damaseau, Doranya is confident and fully prepared for her departure.
