Participants of the training hold up their certificates.
PHILIPSBURG–GB Energy St. Maarten recently held a Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) training for its local employees, distributors, personnel from its regional office and representatives of United Petroleum Company from the Dominican Republic, at the Simpson Bay Resort and Marina.
The main objective of the training was to help participants understand LPG and its safe handling, including transportation and storage. The training also included aspects such as consumer safety and emergency response and was based on National Fire Protection Association(NFPA) – 58 LPG Code book.
The instruction was delivered by certified LPG Consultant Lionel Innis, who has extensive experience in LPG safety handling and operations. The training incorporated hands-on live refilling of LPG Bulk Tanks at various customer locations. “The company thrives on keeping their employees updated with regard to safe operations which also benefits the end user, our valued customer.
