PHILIPSBURG–GB Energy St. Maarten recently held a Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) training for its local employees, distributors, personnel from its regional office and representatives of United Petroleum Company from the Dominican Republic, at the Simpson Bay Resort and Marina.

The main objective of the training was to help participants understand LPG and its safe handling, including transportation and storage. The training also included aspects such as consumer safety and emergency response and was based on National Fire Protection Association(NFPA) – 58 LPG Code book.

The instruction was delivered by certified LPG Consultant Lionel Innis, who has extensive experience in LPG safety handling and operations.
