GEBE is load shedding today

PHILIPSBURG–Utilities Company GEBE has announced that it will be load shedding in several areas today Tuesday, February 21, however it has not yet provided the reasons for the scheduled outages.

GEBE public relations official Paula Gordon said the first areas to be affected around 10:00am were the Over the Bank cable, which feeds parts of Point Blanche, parts of Guana Bay and Yrasquain Boulevard and surrounding areas. Each area will be out for about an hour and a half.

This was to be followed by the Indigo/Saunders cable, which feeds parts of Cay Hill, parts of Bush Road, parts of LB Scott Road and parts of Welgelegen Road. Other areas are expected to be announced at least half an hour before the areas are out. This information can be obtained from GEBE’s Facebook page. When asked about the reasons for the load shedding Gordon, said she will provide this information to the media as soon as she receives it.
